![]() Not good enough for the top three in my book, but very enjoyable. They did a pretty good job of making the Undertaker look vunerable and at times it looked like they might do the swerve and have Batista retain, even if the odds of that happening were slim to nil. His second most recent Wrestlemania title win, this was also a very good match with someone he hadn't worked with extensively before. The two veterans worked a good match with some really good fakeouts and near-falls. One of his best entrances in the American Badass era, zooming down the entrance ramp on one of his own motorcycles in front of his real hometown crowd. ![]() That whole show was great but this was one of Taker's best Wrestlemania bouts as well. It's a shame they cut the reign short because of the Vickie Guerrero angle. Sure, he did that in 1997 against Psycho Sid but that match wasn't nearly as good, they still didn't let him win clean even though he was a face at the time and Edge is a much better work for him to be in the ring with. Easily number one.Īnother great match and it was great to see Taker win the title in the main event. Taker and HBK work well together but have had few enough one-on-one bouts that it was fresh and it certainly became historic. Should've been the main event and despite its place on the card, probably was. It's amazing that two guys in their mid 40s with various ailments went out there and stole the show. With Orton, I just don't care at the moment. I've said it before but when Jericho drones on in his promos, I'm keen to see his character get his ass kicked. Jeff Hardy is never going to be one of the all-time great talkers, but what's a bigger disappointment for me at the moment is Randy Orton.
